Dear Friends,

This last year, it has been a wonderful blessing to supply medical and dental services to the people in the Gilbert Islands. We have many people to thank for their time and services so selflessly provided. We especially want to thank Karen Brockriede, our long term nurse this year at our Kauma Adventist School, and Bo Hode, continuing on in her absence. Also thanks to all the short term teams. These teams would not be possible without the funds and supplies donated by you.

We are busy planning our trips and activities for 2008. A medical team is going Feb. 12-28 and another dental and medical team are going in March. We are looking for people who are willing to do outreach activities along with our medical and dental teams. If you have an interest in going on any of these trips, please contact us to be included.

We have exciting new possibilities for the coming year to help with the start up of a new hospital in the southern group of the Gilbert Islands. The hospital will need a management team, staff and equipment to begin serving the people there. Our aircraft and boat will be instrumental in moving people and supplies to keep the hospital functioning.

Individually we’re not able to accomplish the work ourselves. It is only by a group of us pulling together with God’s blessing, that we have the people and resources to make these projects happen. Please look at the needs below and let us know how you can help.

Volunteers Needed:

Maintenance personnel, Host family, Gardener, Helpers

General Needs:

Fuel and maintenance for aircraft $25,000.00

Replacement diesel engine for sail boat $15-18,000.00

Roller furling jib for boat $2,000.00

Clinic supplies

Base camp and clinic repairs

Motorcycle, Honda 110cc $2,000.00
